Whixall is a small rural parish situated in North Shropshire. Data from the 2011 Census showed that the population is only 795 people (322 households) although recent estimates put this figure at 875 people. Whixall lies on the border with Wales and the nearest towns are the market towns of Wem to the South and Whitchurch to the North.
